What is JCLA?
The Stennis Institute's “Junior Civics Leadership Academy” (JCLA) is a 7-day conference designed for high school students to learn about topics such as governance, leadership, and community development in a fun, hands on manner. In addition to enjoying the unique simulations and workshops that the Stennis Institute have used as their basis for training professionals across the state, JCLA students will also have the benefit of earning college credit at the same time!

What is JCLA Pledge?
There are two types of pledges offered for JCLA - patrons and sponsorships. Patrons' donations defray conference and tuition costs for an attendee(s). Sponsorship donations provide supplies and support activities during the conference. Check out our scholarship packet for more information.
